Zero Punctuation

Well, it seems I may have found my new favorite game reviewer. Well, maybe not favorite, but tied for first at least, the other being Ed from Acorn Films.

His reviews are called Zero Punctuation, and can be found here:

He's British but living in Australia (pretty kick-ass, if you ask me), and seems to have reviewed damn-near every major and many minor games in existence. At least the recent ones.

Very funny, and part of the reason my inner monologue now has a British accent.

Seriously. The thoughts in my head now sound like I'm a bit of a wanker.

Well Now

It's certainly been quite awhile since I've posted here. I had all but forgotten this blog amidst the many things in my home life. Bleh.

Life had really gone from what seemed like the best in a long time, to really bad, to even better than it's been in years, and then back to really fucking bad.

But now, back to gaming. Recently bought the original Paper Mario again for the Virtual Console. Busting through that right now, aww yeah.

Most everyone distinctly remembers Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and it's a bit surprising to find how much of my own memories of the original were replaced with memories of the Gamecube edition. Also, sadly, I never got to play Super Paper Mario, though it looks incredibly fun.

On a somewhat-related note, I simply cannot wait for the new DS being released in the US in March, the 3DS.

Naming puns aside, I'm very interested in seeing autostereoscopic gameplay without the use of 3D goggles. That is, this new DS will sport the ability to go 3D without goggles, but only for one viewer. I'm particularly excited for Paper Mario, for the 3DS, because just imagine a little 2D Mario rolling around a full 3D world. Freaking awesome, to say the least.

Keeping with the Mario theme I've got going, I'm nearly done getting all of the Star Coins for New Super Mario Bros Wii. A very fun addition...except for the multiplayer. The multiplayer is just one giant troll-fest, what with the ability to pick up teammates and throw them off ledges. Terribly fun, but terribly troll-worthy.

I admit, I don't expect anyone to read this, since it's the first post I've made in months, but still, figure I'll start up again and see if I can get back into the swing of it.

Take care, all!
